It’s more of a record store than a cafe in my opinion. However, my friends and I were fortunate enough to grab a couple tables after we were done shopping and we enjoyed some quality coffee. There is a good food selection connected next door too. We didn’t try them, but it looked good. The vibe was super laid back and felt like community more than blind consumerism. There was a little guy there, dressed mad fly. He was just vibing and being a kid. I loved to see it. It’s dope to see kids in safe spaces surrounded by good vibes and culture. Their parents were just hanging out at another table talking about whatever they were talking about. The barista/clerk was super chill. The type of guy I’d definitely hang out with. The whole vibe was super wholesome. I loved it. Especially when you compare it to other elitist vinyl shops with rude clerks. And dude, the gems were crazy. From the vinyl to the tapes. My guys walked out with some rare quality gems. Much respect to whoever is curating the selection. My friends were super happy with their finds. Easy 5 stars. One of the highlights of our short weekend. Whoever reads this, we appreciate your contribution to the culture.
We just saw a cafe and stopped to grab something. There were limited tables. The place has a great potential to receive a lot of people from the hood! I would have removed some of the old CD, DVDs to make room for the coffee place. Unfortunately, I didn’t take photos of food. We got the superbrunch. The portion was rich. They served real maple syrup in the can, the chef was very cool and the taste of food was very yummy.
The food was great, clearly made fresh right in front of us. The burger cheese was melted, the bacon crispy, and the sauces- amazing! All delicious but the "fries" that was tasteless large potatoe cubes. A truly talented, swift, chef. It was 'uncomfortably' busy and crowded, but not surprising with such good food.
Great place to stop that is like the jack of all trades! Restaurant menu with great burgers, coffee, beer, decor to gaze at, and a unique selection of vinyl to flip through. Really artistic place, highly recommend!
This is one of the best record store and restaurant in Rosemont! The food is absolutely fantastic and they have so many records for every type of budget, I always look through their cheapest ones and find amazing bands for like 3$!
716 Chemin du Golf, Montréal
AMTI are a pleasure to deal with. Bruce & company really understand customer service. Their rates are competitive. They are professional & care about your final product. Thanks, I appreciate it! Marco D.

7500 Boulevard des Galeries-d'Anjou, Montréal, H1M 3M4
Good selection , helpful staff but if you want to order an item the delay may be long so plan ahead.
I visited for the music/instruments section - the instruments are reasonably priced and there's a fair amount of variety, however the accessories are well overpriced. The service is good - the employees are usually very knowledgeable.
I love the wide variety of guitars and metal albums at this place! Its not commun to find good heavy metal albums in montreal, so this is a great place!
Really good store. It has lots of books as well as games and other neat gift ideas
It's a go to store for reading and music lovers or if you are looking for a nice gift. Great selection of toys too. Price are a bit high, but you do get amazing service when you go there.

364 Rue Sherbrooke Est, Montréal, H2X 1E6
Smallish shop but still fantastic selection! Owner is very kind and helped to make my experience 5 stars. Cool space and lots of limited editions especially great selection of electronic! Can't recommend enough
Simple, fairly priced, no bs record store. Hands down, the best store to order records from. 👍
Called in just for a look, and after chatting with the staff and them playing me some local djs I was convinced. I left happily with a new record and a smile. I would definitely recommend it.
Very nice and helpful Service, Nice atmosphere, lots of electronic Options! Very good help finding specific records. Thanks Damien!
Super friendly and honest. I called a few days before RSD to check if they would have a record my daughter wanted and he told me it was on order and how much it would cost and to call back the day before to make sure he had received it. I called 5 others stores who were a little more hesitent to share the details. This saved me time from having to go to each store. Super easy to get to by bus, metro and foot! We placed 2 orders and hope to make this our new spot for vinyls.
Snug, established shop featuring rock & electronic music records plus concert tickets.

1373 Avenue du Mont-Royal Est
Knowledgeable staff, if you ask about an artist, they know who you’re talking about. They sell both new and used vinyl. The staff is nice, and at the back of the store there’s a small room where you can try a vinyl if you’re not familiar with the artist. They carry everything from pop, hip-hop, classics, jazz, and international music. However, they don’t have Andrea Bocelli or the The Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
Quintessential record store. Great setup, helpful staff. I picked up a half dozen great used albums and a couple new ones. My only issue was that I had to tune out the music playing overhead - obscure avantegarde stuff, which is fine for 15 minutes, but cut your customers some slack and switch it up.
Somewhat of a hidden-gem and one-stop shop, not to mention *excellently* well-stocked on new arrivals and rare-to-finds. Bonus: their staff are genuinely really interested at capable to discuss whatever music you’re on the look out for. Also the staff is polite, which is refreshing amongst Montréal’s rather tired disquaires. If you’re visiting Montréal, Aux33Tours, as well as Phonopolis Bernard or Sonorama are any collectors first stops. (Whatever you do certainly avoid any contact or dealings with Rue Bernard’s renowned bozo peddler operating under as alias: “Guilty” Though frequently seen peddling wares in and around Rue Bernard, yet the rumour is he left town this summer to a role as DJ at the label Bienvenue Berlin. Era Ora.)
I placed an order for a record from this store for the first time on the weekend. Today is Wednesday and it has arrived here in Ontario. The price was excellent and the record was packed and shipped with the utmost care. I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to check out the store in person some time in the near future!
Have deal for years with this wonderful store. Just today received my order; the album which 33 tours rated as VG was actually MINT! You can obviously buy with confidence from this honest rertailer.
Funky record store selling a range of new & used music on vinyl & CD plus equipment like turntables.

3770 Rue Saint-Denis
This is my favorite place in Montréal to spend a good time looking for my favorite records and finding amazing musical surprises. On top of that, the staff is very friendly and makes you feel home. Highly recommended!!!
good selection, fun staff. they have allegedly a beatles “butcher cover” and while I was there someone came to validate a fake one lol
Lots of variety, for vinyls, tapes and CDs, and prices are decent. I only take off one star because, as many others here have mentioned, the customer service here has some room for improvement. We walked in the small shop, there was an employee (possibly the owner?) standing right there at the counter next to the entrance; he doesn't say hello or even acknowledge us, which is something you often get when walking into a small store like that. Ok fine, maybe he's busy... later on we go to the cash to pay, and again not only doesn't he not say hello, he never even looks up at us once during the whole transaction. Not even a smile or nod. Did not feel very welcoming. I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, it happens... but from reading other reviews this seems to happen often with people in their 20s/30s. There was another older couple at the same time as us and he seemed to be more chatty with them, and completely ignorant to us. It's something small but good customer service really makes a difference. People of all ages like to feel welcomed when they come to your store. We're paying customers too.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Not only was I assisted with finding a specific vinyl I was looking for, he went out of his way to package my vinyl properly in a box! VERY GRATEFUL TO YOU SIR 🫡🫡
Fantastic little (but not little at all) store in a basement. Don't blink or you might miss it and that would be a shame! Great records at great prices! Some fantastic gems behind the counter, and some not even on the floor yet but a side comment will get the owner digging out back to see if they have the thing you're looking for!

2044 Rue Metcalfe
great store, great selection. friendly and knowledgeable staff. good prices
Decent selection. Very unique for this part of town. Excellent prices.
Good store, great amount of choices, excellent price on everything!! My new favorite vynile store!!
Been going there since the seventies (Bishop). Very happy to know that I can walk in and discover or reacquaint myself with old favourites. Last year I got a fair price on cd’s I wanted to unload. Of course I bought some albums with the cash!
My go-to spot for record shopping in the city, they have a great selection to choose from. I've found many records used or new for great prices. Many rarities that I've been looking for have also been found at this shop. If you're looking to add more records to your collection this is where you want to go.
Veteran record store packed with a range of used CDs & vinyl from avant-jazz to rock & world music.

1317 Rue Bélanger, Montréal, H2G 1A2
went trying to find a Pink Floyd cassette and wasn't able to leave with only one, but multiple, from diferent genres and artists. amazed by the amazing collection they got and the fact that they sound 9,8 out of 10. well preserved 📦
J..C is the best !!! A great music store ! Salut Danny , " Rosemount - Man" , " Iron Man " ....." I know it's only Rock and Roll ......but I like it " 🤘🤘🤘
A great place for used CDs. When I was there, the woman working was not a music guru, but she was very friendly and helped me search for albums. Very large selection and great prices. It's about a 15 min walk from Jean talon metro. I d will definitely shop there again.
I had a great service, One of the best CD shops I've been at 💯
Nice eclectic collection of CDs that are well-catalogued. Prices are fair. Only small nit is the discs are stored separately from the cases, so you need to wait until checkout before visually inspecting the media.

1860 Rue Ontario Est

I received a gift card for Freeson Rock this Christmas from friends who know my passion for music and vinyl collecting, and my visit was absolutely worth it! This small shop is packed with an impressive selection of rock and metal, covering everything from classic releases to the latest albums. The prices are excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I walked out with several records, both vintage pressings and new ones, all in fantastic condition. One of my favorite finds was a pristine copy of Styx’s The Grand Illusion, complete with its original poster—a true gem from the 70s. Their used vinyl section is a treasure trove, and their competitive prices on new records make it even better. If you’re a music lover, especially into vinyl, Freeson Rock is a must-visit in Montreal. With great finds, fair prices, and a welcoming vibe, it’s the perfect spot for any collector. I’ll definitely be back!
They have a great variety of metal releases with good prices, recommended if you are visiting Montreal.
Great store - I hate to praise Amazon however they do have a great return policy and this store does not. Twice received damaged records and left no alternative but to go all the way downtown for an exchange or refund. Not worth the time and extra cost.
Always my go-to record store for the harder to find stuff. From psych, prog, jazz, rock to an insanely cool selection of metal, I love this place. They've also got a nice loyalty card/points system to give it back to their customers. Worth your visit.
The best selection of Prog music and just a great vibe.
Heavy metal & progressive rock are the focus at this record shop offering vinyl, DVDs & CDs.

261 15e Rue, Laval, QC H7N 5C3, Canada
I suddenly had a flashback to being 16 y.o. and walking into Dutchy's as I walked into L'Indicatif! What a treasure this place is! Loads of new and used vinyls to be found of all sorts of music genres. This is a must for anyone who collects vinyls!!
i absolutely love going there, it helped me build my collection of music and physical media, the owner knows everything and is always very helpful, and i love the vibe in the store. it’s always so lovely to go!
If you collect vinyls in any capacity, this is a must. Great selection of used and new vinyls and the prices are always lower than the bigger stores
love this store, everything is affordable, going from 1$-30$ depending on what you’re looking for. I’ve got some cds for 2$-5$. The man that owns the store is really sweet and helps choosing cds carefully 💗💽
A small place packed with vinyl and CD inventory. Very reasonable prices. Friendly and courteous staff. Some of the more 'attractive' CDs are displayed on the wall; make it easy to find. You need patience if you're going to sort through the alphabetical boxes that are stacked and piled with limited maneuverability. This is my only 'gripe'. It can get crowded fast with a handful of patrons. Some good classic rock and heavy metal inventory (although limited).

12675 R. Sherbrooke E, Pointe-aux-Trembles, QC H1A 3V9, Canada
Two years ago I purchased my e-piano and I had a good experience that every time I passed the store I stoped by and looked on what was new. Till this year I purchased my record player with several discs. Good purchase experience and I recommend the store. Very helpful staff even when I was not purchasing anything.
I entered the shop wandering around looking at guitars and I picked one up wanting to try it out. The old man said I must stop playing with the guitar if I’m not buying (I wasn’t there to buy, the store looks untrustworthy). He said that after 5 people that play with the guitar the strings are finished and need to be replaced (he clearly didn’t know what he was talking about). To summarize, I wouldn’t go there, even the guitars were cheap, there were only Yamaha’s that’s it. Anyways, I recommend Long and Mcquade, the staff are way more competent and nice.
I have brought my three norman acoustic guitars for a adjustment of the hight action and I am very content with the price and work that was done!
Service A1

Very cool place.
I had an amazing experience at this vinyl shop! The owner is a fantastic guy who clearly has a passion for music. The selection of vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes is extensive, catering to all music tastes. Whether you're a collector or just looking for some great music, this shop is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for more musical treasures!
Great used vinyl and cassette store. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Went in for that first time this weekend, I had such a lovely time, there was great music playing and the vibe was immaculate. So much choice and so many gems to be found in the 3$ section. Steve had such a great energy, top notch service and shop! I will definitely be back!
Terrific store with an amazing selection. The staff were friendly and helpful too. I struck gold! I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit Montreal.

77 Rue Bernard O, Montréal, QC H2T 2J9, Canada
Had an amazing time digging through the shop. Careful tasteful curation filled with local quirky highlights for both the casual listeners, esoteric ears and the curious dancing feet. Please bring your headphones and fully-charged phone to listen to their record snippets on their website — seamless listening experience without having to open the sealed ones. Cannot wait to come back.
Honestly it was a great shop and I've recommended it to tons of folks going thru Montreal. Recently however they posted a video on their socials calling out a long time supporter of the shop and DJ, falsely accusing them of shoplifting. I had spoken with them at length about what occurred and they refuse to publicly apologize and take ownership of their misstep. Take warning when entering you could be next.
Incredible selection of new and used records spanning from a wide range of genres, with a passionate staff always ready to recommend something you didn’t know you needed. More than just a record store, it’s a true community hub for music lovers.
Amazing record store on the heart of Mile-End. There you can find a great selection of used and new records from European Electronic music to Latin and African rhythms. New releases and independent labels with a up to date selection of what’s in vogue around the world.
Love this shop. Loads of gems and 12"s you wont see much in other places. Owner is super friendly too. Always worth a visit in MTL. Great location too on Bernard st with cafes etc.

245 Boulevard des Laurentides, Laval, Quebec H7G 2T7, Canada
This number is useless if you are trying to rent a spot. When I called the owner said he was just the building owner and was unable to help me, im not sure why they have this phone number public then.
They have it all! Great location and comfortable studios.
Ask for Creminel Music best studio in town for recordings / mixing

874 Rue Saint-Laurent O, Longueuil, QC J4K 5E9, Canada
Outstanding online shopping experience from start to finish! This record store (both locations) consistently goes above and beyond. The service is exceptional, and the team’s knowledge, thoughtfulness, and genuine love of music truly sets them apart. Shipping is always incredibly fast, and the records always arrive perfectly packaged and in flawless condition. Le Noise is an invaluable record store and online resource, and I never hesitate to trust them with my business. Many thanks to the amazing people behind the scenes fulfilling orders… your hard work does not go unnoticed!
Amazing !! Thank you Pepe and Jon !
Great selection great prices great staff. Long overdue in neighborhood. Wishing you much success.
Fantastic record shop!! Selection is top tier.
Best record store on the south shore!!

4486 Av. Coloniale, Montréal, QC H2W 2C7, Canada
The great store! Good selection of records and very friendly service.
Made an order about 8 months ago, no word, no answer no notice order is still listed as pending can't contact them at all
Small place, but with great character. The gentleman who worked there, you could tell he loved what he was doing but respected your space and your interest in searching through his collection. A lot of random old stuff you can find there. Also, metal and punk records. I loved the selection and the variety abd obscurity provided in this shop. Homey and authentic. I would def check it out if you're looking for things you won't find anywhere else. Also, inexpensive.
I recently checked out Sound Central during my first visit to Montreal. I noticed a few records that caught my eye on the discogs page so I had an idea of what kinda stuff was there There's lots of residential area around the shop so finding parking wasn't too bad. Shawn the owner was super welcoming, personable, funny, and helpful. He's been apart of the Montreal music scene for many years and has lots of cool stories. The shop is organized well and has mix of used and new vinyl. He definitely has more used selection which is just what I'm into. He also carries some cassettes and CDs. Lots of genes too poke through, but I spent more time on the punk, hardcore, and alternative bins. The inside of the shop is also cool with lots of posters, flyers, and other stuff adorning the walls and ceiling. The prices were very fair and condition of everything I was interested in was good. Shawn even hooked me up with a tape from his 90's punk band Blood Sausage. I'm so glad I stopped here and would recommend checking this shop out!
Went in with a friend for new wheels, bearings and grip tape for their board. The guy who served us was really cool, took us through everything and explained without being patronising or trying to upsell. Can recommend if you're looking for a skateshop without the macho/snobby BS.
Concert posters adorn the walls of this independent music shop offering new & used LPs & CDs.

6250 Rue Saint-Hubert
Recommended. Nice staff, fair prices, and they will special order something for you if they don't have it. Thank you Jeff.
Great little shop in a great little neighbourhood. All genres represented. Fair prices. Definitely worth a 20-minute dig for any collector looking for a new gem. Not a ton of used vinyl, FYI.
Awesome independent record store. So few left. Asked for a specific album and got it on the day of the release. They have many genres. Encourage the music scene and purchase the vinyls of the artists you love!
Best spot for local music and an incredible selection of post-rock. Warning! You'll always want to buy more than you can afford.
Great place, great price and the owner took is time to inform me about products and the shop. I recommend that place.

169 Ave des Pins E, Montréal, QC H2W 1N9, Canada
Dope store, great selection of music. Used cds are mostly $5 each
Great prices and the owner is super cool
Top records selection, good vibes and top bloke behind the counter, very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
good price and good selection! very nice staff
Best prices in montreal .. and a very friendly and helpful owner

7275 R. Sherbrooke E, Montréal, QC H1N 1E9, Canada
Great selection of records but some Of them were overpriced. Would buy if I was searching for a special edition vinyl. Bought 2 vinyls and the Daft punk was defective. We came back to exchange without any problem but unfortunately the other one was also a bad pressing we’ll have to go back again.
Friendly service and has a lot of items such as mangas, DvDs anime/movies/shows, T-shirt, toys, candies, plushies and more!! 💗 it was really cool to look around and bring me a lots of nostalgia !! They had some movies/shows I was looking for as a DvD which is awesome!!
They sold me an overpriced turntable compared to market and it was deficient because vinyl were skipping and no ways to adjust it. I came to exchange it in time according to customer policy and they refused to respect it. I have never seen such a bad service. Will not go again and definitely not recommend. Compare prices before buying.
Honestly great cd prices the only thing is the prices of the Kpop albums they are too much there's no reason someone should pay 50$ for ONE Kpop album
I also tried to exchange a turntable that was skipping vinyl and wanted to exchange it for another brand. They wouldn’t even offer a credit. No wonder why we go to Amazon. The turntable I bought was more than 50% more expensive than on Amazon. Such a rip off!

7077 Bd Newman, LaSalle, QC H8N 0K1, Canada
First of all . I like having a record store...any record store that is ... let alone in the area nowadays... period. Also I want to support a local business and not order from Amazon when I can . But the guy at the cash, not sure if he is the owner or not , has zero, and I mean zero customer rapport. Its like you are bothering him every time you go in and every time I have bought things here .. Really have to get rid of him and if he is the owner then when he has to close shop because of low sales he will have only himself to blame. Walked out today for the last time . I wonder how many others out there have made the same conclusion. He gets a 1 star for customer service...I would give 2 stars because he has a half decent collection but because of the attitude doesn't even deserve that
Excellent place found a cheap old new sealed power rangers movie Highly recommended
Being a record person I'd like to say it's nice to have a record store nearby but this isn't the one. Prices are stupid expensive and the staff is either nowhere to be found or one regrets having finally found one.
Nice selection of cd and records l. They also have a good amount of movies.
Was able to scoop the limited edition Billie Eilish isolated vocals record that dropped today and I almost can’t believe it! So so happy! Received excellent service from the store employees especially a guy with dark hair who I should have asked his name but was just too excited about the vinyl! Every time I come here I leave happy and today was even more! Thanks again

If I could give a higher review I would. Kathy was an incredible piano teacher and my daughter really fell in love with the piano and her playing skills have increased greatly
I went to this music school about three years ago, and I’m only leaving this review now because at the time I was young (Secondary 3) and honestly too intimidated to speak up. This experience stayed with me, and I feel it’s worth sharing. I booked a one-time 30-minute guitar lesson because I was struggling with a specific technique. Since private lessons are expensive, I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted to use the time efficiently and focus on one goal: learning how to thumb slap while playing fingerstyle. I was placed in a room with an instructor who also teaches piano. From the very start, I explained my objective clearly. Instead of teaching the technique, he spent most of the lesson talking about unrelated topics: finger stretching, the importance of knowing scales, music theory, keys, how the song was written, and whether I wanted to “dig deeper into theory.” None of this was what I asked for, and none of it helped me solve the problem I came in with. At one point, he compared the technique to using a game controller and demonstrated it. I couldn’t execute it immediately, but my friend who was observing the lesson could. The instructor then completely shifted his attention to my friend, praising him, telling him he was talented, and encouraging him to start learning guitar instead. Meanwhile, I was the one who had paid for the lesson. By the time I tried to redirect the lesson back to my original request, half of my paid time was already gone. When I finally asked him directly to just teach me the technique, he became defensive and told me that if I wasn’t ready to understand all the theory, I “shouldn’t be playing instruments at all,” and that this was “the basics of the basics.” That response was discouraging, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, especially toward a student. By the end of the lesson, I had learned nothing other than watching him play. I left feeling that $70 for 30 minutes would have been far better spent watching YouTube tutorials, which is exactly what I ended up doing. Another uncomfortable part of this experience: I had previously left a 5-star review (not on this email) because I was short 4$, and the staff offered a small discount in exchange for a positive review. The staff member stood there watching while my friend and I wrote the review. At that point, we hadn’t learned anything useful, but felt pressured to comply. Ironically, YouTube ended up being my real teacher. I can now play properly and currently perform in a small band :) Disclaimer: This was three years ago, so things may have changed. Still, this was my experience, and it left a lasting negative impression.
My daughter loves her music lessons. Teacher Cristal is great, patient and very professional!
The service was impeccable and the staff is so welcoming! I can’t recommend it enough
My son has been taking piano lessons at Musique Prestige for the last three years and we couldn’t be happier. The location is easy to access, but more importantly the teachers are amazing. They are talented, patient, kind and truly invested in the students.

4590 Boulevard Saint-Laurent
Nantel is amazing. They are so welcoming and have a good selection. Their staff were helpful but gave my husband and I space to decide on an instrument. I’m very happy with the speed and ease of my purchase and delivery. I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to return for anything. :) it’s so nice to have an approachable but great showroom in the area.
Great experience. Went in with my teenage son for an acoustic guitar. Jean-Philippe was very knowledgeable, patient and helped us make the best decision for our budget. He didn't try to upsell anything and gave us the confidence that he stands behind his products.
No question about it. Nantel Music is the best music store in Montreal. Their staff are amazing and knowledgable. Their prices are reasonable. There is plenty of parking in front of the store and the location is easy to get to. Their sales people have a great deal of patience especially dealing with an older person like me. Also, they laughed at all my jokes. What could be better?
What a great store. I was visiting in Montreal recently and stopped by on a whim. The staff was very gracious in allowing me to peruse the acoustic guitar room and they clearly know their stuff and could intelligently discuss each guitar. And what an amazing collection they have. Tons of high end and custom shop Martins, Gibson, Taylors, and especially Boucher. You normally cannot fins such a collection under one roof to directly compare. One Boucher in particular spoke to me but I wasn’t in a situation to purchase it at that time. I couldn’t forget about it and later contacted the shop to purchase it. JP, Martin, and other staff all bent over backwards to make the purchase as smooth as possible, despite unusual circumstances. Highly, highly recommended. This is the kind of shop I dearly wish was in my hometown.
Great service and very friendly and knowledgeable salespeople to assist you in your purchase. I found the perfect instrument that I was looking for and at a great price. I will definitely go back and some at this music store.
Long-standing music store offering a vast inventory of instruments & accessories, plus lessons.

4333 Rue Rivard, Montréal, QC H2J 2M7, Canada
This afternoon, I visited this record store and found that the selection of records was very rich. However, one female staff member made me feel quite uncomfortable, as she was constantly on the phone. I wanted to ask her for some assistance, but I couldn’t find an appropriate opportunity to do so. I hope the store can better manage its staff, and I look forward to seeing improvements in the future.
Super chill and knowledgeable staff here took some time to help me find a record (Montreal-based group with Cure vibes and good cover art) to bring back to Brooklyn for an out-of-my-league 2nd date. She was astonished by the thoughtfulness. Big success! Thank you 😅🥰
fantastic personalized service and great prices ! was very happy to replace my friend's cartridge and stylus
Another classic Montréal record store that has been there forever. It’s a little on the smaller side but they have a very specialized selection which appeals to fans of jazz, reggae, francophone, prog and the Constellation label. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Quelle belle boîte avec une sélection extraordinaire! Awesome and well-curated selection at great prices and friendly service. Love this store. A true Montreal staple.

112 Avenue du Mont-Royal Est
This place is great. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Paul has the best vibe and his store is simply amazing. It is a small place but it holds a lot of treasures for you all to discover. He doesn’t just sell it to you, he knows and feels the music on another level. If you’re lucky enough he might show you the backstory where the selection of vinyls and other discs just doesn’t seem to end. His records are well priced as well. Some of them seem too cheap sometimes when compared to online prices and offers. From what I’ve seen most of them are between 15-30$ each and anyone that knows a bit about vinyls will tell you that they’re extremely well priced. The owner is one of the kindest souls I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He has a positive outlook on the harsh times some are living and he spreads his ideas and positivity in a nice and supportive way
Guy was very rude. I made a joke about the price of an album and he took it so seriously to the point where he lost a customer. Store is in really bad shape too, if you feel heat in there it's probably from the friction of your shoulders rubbing on other people. But honestly I can forgive that if the owner was more polite. Really won't be going back in there because of my experience. Very fragile person
Great selection of records and nostalgic feeling. Amazing fun owner, definitely someone to strike up a conversation with. A must for those who love retro and records!
Came here looking for some new Vinyl and found out they don't even have a debit machine yet still charge tax on all the records, the store was dirty and some hip hop records were left on the floor in water from peoples shoes. The guy I spoke too was very friendly, the prices were a little over priced too. With the vinyl record industry rising again I won't be wasting my time at this dump, sorry bud but clean up your shop
I've never seen so much vinyls in a shop of this size! This place is amazing you can find all the CD/vinyl you want!
Colorful, compact store featuring a selection of records, DVDs, magazines & music memorabilia.

So I waltzed in here looking for The Who's semblance 1973 record Quadrophenia. Couldn't find it anywhere else. So yeah I waltz in here and the gentleman at the counter immediately helps me find quadrophenia. Super happy to find this record and super happy with the service here. There's nothing phoney about phonopolis. My favourite track on this record is The Real Me. Best bass ever I don't care what anybody else says. Alaric recommends 👐 🎶
Online order. Easy to do. Great customer service as I had made an error regarding delivery (I do not live in Quebec) and I was contacted the same day (on a Sunday) to correct it. Quick delivery, I received it on Thursday and it was very carefully wrapped! I have never received a record by mail with protection on the corners and I appreciate that especially because it is a gift. Thank you!
Great customer service and fast shipping. Bought 3 vinyl for my son's birthday and had some concerns when they arrived. The owner reach out and rectified the situation. Mistakes happen and it impressed me how they handled everything.
They are extremly kind. I came in crying after being told that no one would pay for the CDs I wanted to sell because they were terrible quality. They helped me and ended up buying the rest. They have always been extremly kind and have been the staple of my childhood. When I can legally do so, I want to get a job there :)
Great local record store. The staff are super helpful and informative, and the layout of the store is quite intuitive. Wide variety of vinyl plus some CD's and tapes! Highly recommend
Quirky local shop offering a host of records plus concert tickets & more.

If you're in Montreal and like Punk or Metal, you need to visit Sonik. Huge selection, great prices.
This is a must stop Record Shop for any Metal and or Punk record collector making their way through Montreal. Insider tip: they don’t have a website or take debit/credit so bring cash or speak to the owner who will accept e-transfers. Happy crate digging #RecordShop
Great punk store and a real hidden gem. Everything from punk, post-punk, shoegaze, oi!, metal, etc. Great book selection from fandom pieces, to bios, histories, and genre studies. Very helpful staff, great atmosphere and music. Finally, prices are VERY reasonable, often 3-5$ cheaper than other places. Highly recommend place for vinyl needs.
Great selection of reasonably priced records. Different genres, I'm not into other ones but if you're looking for hardcore punk, its definitely worth checking out.
One of the best independent record stores left on earth. Fantastic selection of garage, punk, and underground cool stuff. Zero bullsh*$ inventory. Well organized, good mix of new and used vinyl. Very helpful owner. Cash only - so bring a fat stack and go nuts. A must stop if you're in Montreal.

good service
Super service
Absolutely the worst DHL pickup service. They shouldn't even do business with you. We called several times, got no answer, went there in person and it was closed. You don't even have online hours, and there's no answer on the phone because the voicemail is full. Truly unprofessional!
You'll find all your favorite albums. The only problem is that it's hard to choose just one because they're all so good.
The people there are welcoming and polite.

I tried donating some of my dad’s old CDs here. The person who bought them was rude and dismissive. I had a total of 77 CDs and he only bought 5. This wouldn’t be an issue if he hadn’t told me that no one would want to to pay for the rest because they were in terrible quality. I can confirm that they were NOT terrible quality, I went to another store and they bought the rest and told me that he is known for doing this. I have been told by many people that he is rude and makes others feel bad.
Sonorama Used Vinyl on Bernard Street is a true gem for any vinyl enthusiast or casual music lover visiting Montreal. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by rows and rows of carefully curated records spanning all genres and decades. The store has that perfect blend of nostalgia and discovery — whether you’re searching for a rare classic or just browsing for something new to spin, it feels like a musical treasure hunt. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, eager to share recommendations or stories about the records. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it easy to lose track of time flipping through vinyl after vinyl. I especially appreciated how the store maintains a cozy, authentic feel without being overwhelming or cluttered. Located right on Bernard Street, it’s easy to combine a visit here with exploring the lively neighborhood around it. For anyone looking to add a special record to their collection or simply soak up some local music culture, Sonorama Used Vinyl is a must-visit spot in Montreal.
When it comes to world music, not just rock or alternative, this space is one of the best in Montreal. Sure, vinyl can sometimes be expensive, but when it comes to the selection of Japanese music and press, Near Eastern funk and jazz, etc., the cost is a thousand times worth it, because it's the kind of stuff you can't find anywhere else.
Went crate digging here and found a couple of rare gems! Great place to browse new and used records.
I met with the owner to sell some 45rpm and 33rpm vinyl records. The owner went through my records and purchased about six 45rpm records and for which he offered between $1-$2 each. The owner was courteous and polite. His store is cleaned, well lite, and has a nice ambiance. I would definitely recommend Sonorama Disques to buy or sell vinyl records.

Nicole and Richard have great energy! They have a super cool, well organized, extensive collection. Richard played the record to make sure it was in great condition. The prices were amazing! Nicole gave great service. Emailed invoice immediately. Thank you so much! Avoid the traffic on the Plateau and head to Lachine and get your Black Friday deals! My niece is going to love these records! 🎄🎄
Ordered online to pick up and it was a seamless and easy experience. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. A bit hard to find as it is a residential area but the bell is clearly labeled for the store.
Excellent online purchase experience. Good used and new selection with fair and reasonable prices. Free shipping threshold is set at a buyer friendly limit and arrived very fast. Thank you!
Thank you for the unbelievable service! I ordered a few records in the morning and they were hand delivered a few hours later! Used record grading was perfect as well.
Very good choices of vinyls to buy and vinyls come in beautiful condition and price is very reasonable. Overall I'm really happy with the service!
