What a beautiful records store. Must stop if you in LA. Mad selection of new and used records. Love their house and reggae sections. They also carry cool merch and some art as well.
great record store! -great curation, range of selection, organization. dance music focused but a lot of other great digs -2 listening stations so you can bring a friend -easy parking -friendly staff -you can buy some cool threads, turntable carts/styli, slipmats and more!
Gargantuan amounts of aura radiates from this record shop! An immaculate selection of underground sounds. Luke is cool and so is everyone else that works there! Keep the vibes going deep! ✌️
Local spot in downtown super eclectic great selection and great people. Jared always great to chat with and talk about some hidden gems. Come by and check it out the collection for yourself 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great store with amazing audio setup that makes the records they play in there sing, great underground dance selections and a wider variety of electronic sub genres for all tastes !

Amoeba Music is an absolute classic and still one of the best record stores around. Huge selection across vinyl, CDs, movies, and merch—you can easily lose an hour just browsing. Staff is knowledgeable and the vibe is exactly what you’d hope for from an iconic music spot. Only reason for four stars instead of five is that some used vinyl prices felt a bit high compared to other shops, and it can get pretty busy at peak times. That said, the selection and atmosphere more than make up for it. If you love music and physical media, this place is still a must-visit.
Amoeba Music in Hollywood is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves music, movies, or pop culture. Walking into the store feels like stepping into a living archive of sound and history. The space is massive, well-organized, and packed with an incredible selection of vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, posters, and unique collectibles across every genre you can imagine.
Amazing heaven like spot. The staff know exactly what and where whatever it is that youre looking for…. I copped the vinyl i had been looking for for years here. Also such good variety of merch and fun gifts and a photobooth. Pleasant experience!
Amoeba Music in Hollywood is a music lover’s dream. It’s massive, packed with vinyl, CDs, posters, and every genre you can imagine from rock to classical. The vibe is nostalgic yet alive, and you can spend hours exploring. Truly an iconic LA gem!
Great store for movie selection! I went here specifically to look at their movies. If you’re looking for music, this is your spot always. But for physical movie collectors, it can be tough to find store that carry Blu-rays and 4k UHD movies. This store is one of the only in the area. They have a large selection for all genres. Their pricing on the movies can be a bit pricey. They have three tiers, white tags are brand new pricing from their distributors. Yellow tags are trade-in inventory which tends to be about 20% off the white tag I noticed. I would stick to yellow tags, the white tag pricing looks to be over msrp pricing on Amazon.
Indie music lovers' hangout for free live shows & an eclectic stock of new releases & vintage hits.

Very awesome spot and classic record store. Finally had a chance to come in after realizing I ordered a rare discogs LP from his place. The feel is what you want feom a spot, essentials in the stacks with a wide variety of genres and rarities. Good for them for stocking new releases, not my bag, but awesome wall records and affordable selections. Healthiest punk section I saw after 4 record stores. Got a rare psych folk prog record for them that was on my radar for a while and stunned to find a decent Los Diablos in the stacks when thats I was looking for, I passed on it this time bc of condition but thats how used vinyl goes. They are polite, honor their records and and play good music. So happy to come back
I liked everything about this place, I just didn’t find any records I wanted. Lots of rock, folk and classical. Close to 0 funk, soul or disco, and I dug through all the crates. Cool store clerk with decent taste, nice location and pretty clean. Response to owner: I was just there 4 days ago, spent hours there, I went through every crate, the soul/funk/disco crate was definitely lacking, sorry!
A secret gem with great selections!! No matter the genre! I can spend quite some time digging around here.. Peep the $1 records (thank me later, if I havent already bought all the hit’s 😆)but dont forget to check out new arrivals.. you never know what youre gonna find.. 🔎 Lastly dont forget to keep a ear out while youre there… Dan is usually playing some heat 😮💨🔥🎶🎶
Happy three years Arroyo! This is one of my favorite record stores in LA with plenty of street parking- it’s the perfect sized store with tons of new and used 12s and 7s coming in daily - all genres! Used records are fairly graded and priced, neatly organized (alphabetically within each letter in the stacks) and there’s a listening station to preview. Owner Danny and crew are super sweet, accommodating of diggers that spend several hours in the store and always ready with solid recommendations - don’t forget to browse the staff picks! Did i mention it’s dog friendly? I can’t think of any complaints at all, A++++ record store thanks guys :)
Such a great record shop. The prices are fair and competitive, the owner and staff are friendly and helpful and have recommended a few new favourites to me over the years and their second hand section always has new collections arriving. Couldn’t ask for a better local record shop.

340 E 2nd St suite 336, Los Angeles, CA 90012, USA
Probably the best store in little tokyo, it's fine even comparing to the legendary bookoffs is japan. Great items, very low prices for some, the gachapon section has a lot of great stuff. I deadass found a 90$ sally the witch figure for 25$, I recommend this store a lot. Now I have a fridge creature, thanks bookoff.
This store has a lot of second hand Japanese products ranging from exclusive figurines to accessories, music, games, and small accessories. This branch of Book Off has plenty of variety and is well stocked with lots of cool and uncommon items for sale. Location does get a lot of foot traffic but the store is pretty large enough to accommodate. The general mood here is very cheery and bright among visitors who are browsing for their next treat.
Can be very overwhelming as there is a lot of stuff here and with that, a lot of people. My teenager is really into anime shows so this store was a must visit for him while we were in town. He found a few things but it would take a lot of sifting through items to find the things he would really want.
Such a cool vintage shop! There’s a huge variety of figures, cards, and manga. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy hunting for unique collectibles.
One of my most beloved stores in little Tokyo! Their prices are reasonable, and you get a 30 day return window when you buy anything. This is my go to place now for CD disc! Large section and I always love to stop by to see what they have new. I also got a Overwatch Tracer Figure that looks incredible for a alright price. Store clean and well organized with professional employees. Always will be coming back for more what this store provides.

3801 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, USA
I was sitting at the bus stop across the street, before the sun came up, and I recognized the respect this painting attracts to the business. I couldn't help but imagine como que listo es this business owner. Due to this fancy painted mural this business has respect from taggers, and as incredible as it is, the public sidewalk along this business remains trash free. I wish I had a better camera. I would post photos.
Their is Pokemon gym on the corner where they paint stupid murals to take photos, but apparently get mad when people stop by playing Pokemon Go
All of my favorite artists are signed here!
New mural in progress.. Sick💪💪💪
Great folks!

110 S Ave 56, Los Angeles, CA 90042, USA
Great record selection, vibes in general, and nice NA/alt beverages.
One of the best record stores in LA. Wether you are looking for Brazilian, tropical, italo disco, hip hop, afro beat and high life or whatever, chances are you will find something that excited you. Many rare first pressings and reissues too. The layout is so comfy, they have drinks, there’s a listening station and the owners and employees very chill.
Lovely space! I’ve been going to HP record shops for years and this space is an incredible addition for the community. Love the curation, can’t wait spend more time digging.
So important that there are leisure spaces in the community where you aren’t pressured to consume alcohol. Great selections 🎶. Opened by a local. Its for the community.
Beautiful space, incredible music, lovely people. Such a great addition to the neighborhood!

5810 N Figueroa Street, 90042
Thanks for your help - the record I got for my kid was a big hit! Scored huge dad points. He said "whoa! Dad, Mulato is..." Then both of at the same time: "the father of Ethiopian Jazz?" I know. I'm a cool hipster dad. As an elder millennial father to a teenage gen z, a place like Gimme Gimme Records is heavenly. If there is one thing we can have intergenerational bonding over, it is hyper-intellectual appreciation of esoteric music played on ananchrostic analog technology. If you, too, are suffering from Gen Z Child Syndrome, try Gimme Gimme Records and the homeboy there will hook you up with something to relate to your offspring with (your kid WILL talk to you, if you find stuff they are into!).
The person working in the shop was rude. Terrible customer service. Go elsewhere — Jacknife is great, Arroyo, Cosmic Vinyl, Record Safari. All great options with kind people
Long time vinyl collector, buyer, seller, trader, addict, etc. Gimme Gimme is easily one of the best stores in the LA area. Always a go to for me when I'm out visiting family. Great used selection of all genres. Very reasonable prices and the staff has always been super friendly. Highly recommended. If you're making a short list of shops to hit on your LA excursion, GG should be at the top.
This has easily become my favorite record store! Always a great selection of new and used vinyl from popular classics to obscure gems. They carry a nice variation of genres from jazz to rock to hip hop and soul.
A nice find! I found some rare vinyls for myself so I’m happy :)
Quirky NYC-transplant shop buying & selling a vast selection of hard-to-find vinyl records.

342 1/4 1st St, Los Angeles, CA 90012, USA
Very nice place! I bought the brand new first press album first love by utada hikaru! The Owner is very friendly, when I came back here the second time,he just back from buying lunch, very interesting,if I have second chance to come here I will buy the sheena Ringo on the side👍
Awesome hole in the wall japanese record store. Must visit place for music lovers. Organized very well and they have lots of cool old media and things for modern trends like city pop
Great place to find Japanese vinyl records. The owner's recommendation was great. You may also listen live songs by the owner playing a guitar. It was a great pleasure. Thanks.
This is a wonderful place to browse through CDs and vinyls of both Japanese and American artists. They have a very organized and well-priced selection of 60s, 70s, 80s, and more, across genres including city pop, rock, enka, folk, and R&B. The usual souvenir tchotckes are located in the back. I think it was the owner's mother maybe who rung me up and she's very sweet. I picked up an Anzen Chitai single just for the joy of having bought it here!
Did not expect to find this amazing record store in little Tokyo. They carry rare and hard to find original Japanese pressings. Definitely worth a visit!
Petite vintage & antique shop specializing in Japanese collectibles from T-shirts to artwork.

356 1/2 E 2nd St, Los Angeles, CA 90012, United States
This is a nice edition to shops in Little Tokyo Downtown Los Angeles. They have a good selection of vinyl ranging from new to old and some rarities. The shop is small but has a little bit of different genres for your curiosity. Other than that there’s not much to say. The service was not helpful or friendly and they didn’t even have music playing in the background to get that record shop feel. To me that was a little disappointing and really enjoy that at other record stores. Hopefully if I come back again they will have this taken care of. So if you’re in the area check this place out and hopefully you will have a better experience than I did the first time around.
Tucked away in the vibrant streets of LA's Little Tokyo, Going Underground Records is a treasure trove for retro music enthusiasts. This record store is a nostalgic haven that captures the essence of vinyl culture with its eclectic collection ranging from classic rock to hidden gems. The staff here are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, always ready to help you discover the perfect addition to your vinyl collection. Their passion for music is infectious, making every visit feel like a journey through musical history. From seasoned vinyl collectors to curious newbies, everyone is welcomed with open arms and expert advice. The store's atmosphere is a delightful blend of laid-back vibes and a genuine love for music, offering a unique and authentic record shopping experience. Whether you're digging through crates looking for that rare find or just wanting to immerse yourself in the world of records, Going Underground Records is the place to be. Don’t miss out on this little gem in Little Tokyo where music and nostalgia seamlessly intertwine!
If you actually want to recieve your vinyl, then don't even bother. They'll send it to the wrong address even when you give them the right one, when trying to get it sent out again, they lie and say they've sent it just for it to never arrive. Customer service is abysmal, and when trying to pull an "ah gotcha!" Moment, they simply showed that the person had been trying to contact them, proving their point further. Just don't bother.
Phenomenal selection, really interesting stuff so they do their name justice. Fair prices, good staff and good on trades
Such a lovely store with a decent selection. I bought a handful of discounted vinyls and they were all in great condition

7706 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, USA
The mere existence of this store is a good thing for music and for society. It's hyper specific, but radically inclusive. There are so many records you can't find even at the biggest shops. There is care, there is curation, there is passion. And there are even some extremely limited, indie, local pressings. We need punk music right now. And Headline is doing their best to keep it alive and thriving.
Was looking around the internet for punk rock patches and stumbled upon their site. Headline records has the best selection of punk patches of anywhere else available. Communication from the store was excellent there was even an overcharge for shipping that was addressed before I even received my order. Which was sent right away and received the following week. I will be recommending headline records to everybody I know.
I love this store. They’re the perfect punk/metal record store. They even sell collectors items. Anyone who is in Los Angeles should visit them. They just gave me an awesome/free tote bag with my purchase! I can’t recommend these guys enough.
Amazing record store!! John was extremely helpful and friendly, I was selling my band's 12" red vinyl and he was extremely fair when it came to buy them, he dod not once tried to low ball me , he gave me some free game and explained me how to sell my record without being ripped off !! We need more stores and people like John in this world.
Super chill vibes, great selection of everything from buttons to vinyls with great customer server.
Old-school music store specializing in punk, ska & garage albums, T-shirts & collectible vinyl.

4765 W Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016, USA
Always the most grounded and welcoming place. Their records are always amazing too, just be sure to come Saturday when they drop their new selection - the popular records usually go quick! Their taste is immaculate if you want to pick up some sage music advice from the two shop owners Stan and Ray. Usually the only two that hold down the shop. Stay for the conversation and vibes. Leave with new music and better headspace.
Great prices, vinyl conditions are great. They have some sections for $1 dollar and staff is always helpful. They also let you play the records! Great selection.
I get to fly out to LA every two months for business, and I try to hit record stores. This store instantly became one of my favorite spots in LA. Store manager or the owner is very approachable and friendly. Records are very well taken care of and accurately graded. I always listen to records at listening stations and look at the surfaces and check the sounds of particular sections of possible issue. And, I find their grading is conservative, so you can consider one notch higher (I.e. VG → VG+) at this shop. I also bought the High Fidelity t-shirt in the good ol’ thank you bag. It’s $15. Unbelievable deal.
Damn. There is so much good stuff. Had to leave otherwise I'd easily blow my budget. Will definitely be back soon.
best curated vinyl selection and kind customer service
Popular music shop features a selection of new & used records, hi-fi audio equipment & memorabilia.

1049 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015, USA
Sick record shop, only the real survives here, AC makes music and has world renown Artists as guest , Go to a record shop that actually makes records!!! Sick joint!!!
Awesome spot. They got all the records you will need for your hiphop gigs or just vinyl collecting at the new Venice shop. AC always give me a great deal an has been in the game for decades. Support local independently owned businesses.
HipHop Philosophy Radio is by far the finest resource for fresh hip-hop music! Giving shine to the rare and underrated gems of the past as well as showcasing the best of today, DJ A.C. the P.D. makes sure that every one of his Monday Night Fresh mixes is worth looking forward to.
HHP Radio puts shame on any/all 'hip-hop' selections I've encountered at other record spots. A.C. keeps it fresh and keeps it moving, records or radio.
A true to form vinyl hip hop record store, Internet radio station, and community. Plus special DJ events around town, live from AC the PD, LA's OG MC.

5770 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019, USA
I was in town for Grammy weekend and happened to stumble across Nivessa! They truly have a love for the music and artistry and are able to make you feel grounded within the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Henry is a great guy, and makes you feel like a long lost cousin. The collection of vinyls, CDs, and DVDs are second to none. Very uplifting; very demure.
The new record store in town has an amazing collection of records. It’s not overpriced and everyone is friendly. Jonathan, the owner is very nice l, helpful and remembered my name from the first visit. Definitely a new place in the neighborhood that makes it a better place.
Feels like a yard sale. They have a DnB/Jungle/Breaks section filled with Yanni, Sheena Easton, and other random stuff like A Holiday in Greece. Things are in genre sections that make no sense for metal and other genres as well. When I complained to the sole employee they just said "yeah I know, we need to get organized". Generally just poor condition on everything too but still priced at $20-30 per record.
Super dope little shop. Unexpectedly found this place and spent a good 2 hours digging but could have spent more. Impressed with the diversity of genres but more so the depth. Good prices and good vibes! Can’t wait to return and check out the new spot.
Jonathan truly has opened a spot where vinyl heads can gather and explore the wide variety of Eargasmic treasures! Recently moved to the area and was instantly drawn to the fact I now have a neighborhood vinyl spot! Jon’s always down for convo and will even recommend some 🔥 based off your likes! Prices are definitely worth checking out as you never know what gems you’ll find!🖤🎶🎧

840 Santee St #106, Los Angeles, CA 90014, USA
Had a great experience, I was looking for a particular color in vinyl and I found it here. Customer service was great and friendly, I will be a repeat customer!
They just move to new location, so no sign outside it’s a gray building on corner...with a little door. Only street parking, meters are .25¢ for each 15min. I went at 4pm the place was empty I was out within 10min. Prices are great! Lots of colors to choose from. Worker was very nice. Really recommend this place.
I love their new setup! You are able to see everything they carry and now they also carry sheets that can fit easily in the smaller cutters so there's so much to choose from. They’ve always had everything I need in stock and their customer service is always great and they are always willing to help and answer all your questions. I love that they are open on Saturday until 5 p.m. Google shows pictures of their old location so it might be hard to find but its right at the corner of 21st and Main.
Great selection of HTV and adhesive vinyl ready-to-go. This new location is much more spacious, which allows for display of most all of their products, so it makes shopping a lot easier to see the colors in person and just take the item off of the shelf. Wide selection. Love their prices! Low key... hate the new location. Parking is challenging and a lot of tents and homeless are right near the door. High Key, you've got to know the address, because the name is not visible from the street. You wouldn't know what they were selling in that store.
Spent $175 on stuff for my daughter cheer competition and the shirts didn’t last 3 hours letters fell off! Thank god I wasn’t selling any! Very embarrassing’!
Showroom for rhinestones sold retail & wholesale in packages of varying sizes.

5506 Monte Vista St, Los Angeles, CA 90042, USA
I want to like this place but its underwhelming each time. Wall records are fine, prices okay while the condition and high prices arent enticing. Bonus for having listening station. The service was classic, no greeting no response no checking in, some people like that. Im forgiving with that kind of service. The latin section was why I came and it was cool to see but not the right ones. Im stunned how jacked the inner sleeves are in some records around $20. Soul/R&B was healthy. Occasionally serving antique store prices and conditions. 12” section was cool. Music playing was cool. I dig so i’ll keep trying. I walked to York a few blocks away and found better vibes n wax same day. Everyone else got my money, maybe on my third visit I’ll buy something.
Entire staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and pulled/recommended amazing records for me. Great selection and honest prices. This will 100% be added to go-to record spots. Thanks yall!!
Awesome customer service. Melanie was absolutely wonderful and has a wonderful selection to choose from! Really glad I stopped here and will definitely be back!
Great selection of dance music, friendly staff. Just go!
My new favorite record shop in LA. Very reasonably priced, knowledgeable staff, great selection of all genres. Spent 2 days digging through all the crates and found lots of what I was looking for. Better than any other shop in a 20 mile radius. Top!

1906 Cypress Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90065, USA
Fun dive to see live bands. The staff are fast and friendly, the drinks are strong, the sound is good, and some booth seating is available. The outside patio has room for a lot of merch tables, the smoking lounge is set away from the crowds, they have a taco vendor and tables for eating, and, of course, vinyl displayed for sale. Great, gritty vibe and a fun time!
Pleasantly surprised! Came here for a DJ set hosted by some of my favorite podcasters. The DJ set was in their patio area where they have tables and chairs and shade. They also have a small records store that’s packed with all sorts of goodies (and canned beverages)! Really well organized too. Their $1 section had some great stuff. Lance helped me out with my purchases and he was very kind. The building in the front is a music venue with a full bar. Didn’t get a chance to go inside and explore but I’ll definitely be back to check it out. Look forward to coming back, having a bevvy, and doing some digging or catching a show.
Drove up to LA from San Diego for a concert and made it a point to come to the record store. Did not regret it one bit. Lance, the owner, is super friendly and knowledgeable. The store has a great variety of records, including rare and sealed pressings. Lots of 90s OG pressings as well, which I collect. His prices are very reasonable and the store is well organized. I recommend that anyone in the LA area stop by his store. I definitely will when I drive back up!
Sound quality was great, staff and owners are so communicative and helpful. Lance the owner is a really great guy. I loved performing here. A big plus is that as an indie artist you keep all your tickets sales and merch sales. Love this venue.
So grateful that a space like this exists in general. I’ve been for comedy shows, local bands, and some of my favorite touring acts, as well as just to check out the record store in back on a weekend afternoon. Each time I remind myself how I should be back more often and how I wish it was walking distance to me. Why the review now? Well, last night I had some of the best limes of my entire life. They were so good that I just had to leave a review. Shoutout to John who helped us out at the bar and was likely the person cutting those limes earlier that day. Rather than waiting for the next event I want to catch here (Matt Pryor on 3/2), I’ll be back ASAP because I can’t stop thinking about the limes. 🍋🟩
Old-school vinyl shop with a laid-back bar featuring micro-brewed beers & a patio for sunset sips.

During a business trip to Vegas for a convention, I discovered from locals that Los Angeles was only a four-hour drive away. While most would consider four hours a long trip, I saw it as a wonderful opportunity to explore another part of the United States. Having been a truck driver, mainly on the East Coast, traveling to the Midwest and West Coast was a fantastic experience. I took time to visit the beach and popular tourist spots, hung out with locals, played some golf, and unexpectedly found Record Safari. As a music enthusiast who appreciates all genres and international music, I believe music is a perfect escape and a way to enjoy life. It’s like having a perfect soundtrack—whether at the end of a movie or during a suspenseful scene. Being from Pennsylvania on the East Coast, I noticed we don’t have many record stores like Record Safari. Walking in, you can smell the old vinyls, and surprisingly, there were over ten people inside, which is a good sign. The store had vintage video games, famous records on display, and you could even listen to records before deciding to buy. The staff made me feel at home, and if I didn’t have to catch a flight, I would have bought 20 to 30 vinyls, not because of the prices but because of the friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves the sound and passion of music. If you enjoyed this review, please check out our YouTube channel, B Clean Professionals.
I must say that this establishment is truly remarkable, indeed the finest record store along the entire West Coast. The collections are exceptional, and the staff is top-notch. If you happen to be in the vicinity of Glendale and have a passion for music and collecting, I highly recommend paying this place a visit.
Wow this place is great. Workers are also great. I told this guy too tell me where I can search for The Beatles White Album. After few minutes. Fortunately I found a new version of this album. There is even place where I can test it.
I’ve found so many gems here — great selection, fair prices, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The records I didn’t grab the first time still haunt me (Misfits Beware, Van Halen A Different Kind of Truth, Ozzy Osbourne box set, etc.). Definitely worth digging through the crates here — you never know what you’ll find!
Record Safari passed the vibe check. Great selection of new and used, and some really rare vinyl, made my recent visit so worth it. Also, they have a parking lot so that's sick. Really cool associates too. I'll definitely come back here and will be recommending it to others.

900 N Sycamore Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038, United States
I adore this place. They are so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory. Recently I ordered a somewhat-rare vinyl from them. The whole process was quick and easy, and it shipped out almost immediately and arrived within 2 days. It was meticulously packaged and I was so impressed that I wanted to leave a review. Will absolutely be a customer for life now. Love this store!
Today I bought the Spinbase Max 2 Turntable speaker system by Andover at Supervinyl. I couldn’t be happier. Great customer service, and they helped me tinker with some of less common settings before I bought it. And of course, they have a great selection of vinyl. I would recommend this store to anyone.
Favorite vinyl shop in town, five star service and really nice place!
Went here while visiting LA and the staff were absolutely incredible and they had a great selection of music. We went for the signed Hilary Duff vinyls, and they were so helpful and made us feel so welcomed in their store!
Super Vinyl on Sycamore is one of those rare spots that feels like an actual record store—curated, passionate, and always worth a visit. Tucked just off the main drag in Los Angeles, it manages to be both low-key and deeply impressive. The selection hits that perfect balance of accessible and eclectic—whether you’re hunting for a clean pressing of a classic like Coltrane’s Blue Train, or digging into something a little weirder from obscure psych or avant-garde jazz, chances are they’ve got it, or they know how to get it. The staff is incredibly helpful and informed, and that vibe runs through the whole shop whether the owner is around or not. (Though when he is, he’s friendly, welcoming, and clearly still in love with music.) There’s no snobbery here—just a solid crew who know their stuff and genuinely want to help you find your next great listen. Beyond records, they’ve also got turntables, accessories, books, a few audio odds and ends, and a curated vibe that makes you want to hang around. It’s a great spot for crate-digging, music discovery, or just recharging in a space where the love of vinyl still feels real. A proper gem in the LA music scene.

2395 Glendale Boulevard, 90039
This store is absolutely amazing. I've never got the chance to visit the store as im in Missouri but ive done alot of business with this company over the last year and im 100% satisfied. Not only do they respond super quick but they are always nice to me, as well as providing awesome prices on some super rare RIAA awards. At this point ive bought around 12-13 awards from these guys as well as a mac miller autograph and they always are professional. 10/10 across the board.
Classic record store with new arrivals always worth flipping through. Staff are approachable and not snobby about questions. Metered parking out front is usually open. Prices are fair and the condition grading is honest. Posters and memorabilia add to the vibe. You’ll likely leave with something unexpected
Incredible music store. High quality rare collectibles and vinyl. I was excited to finally visit the store when I was in the area.
Excellent for hard to find items...! Can’t find it rare items or vinyl on line? Try here first next time...! Perfect parking without meters...Just look for the art murals @ the huge Rockaway sign...!..
These guys have been serving music heads forever. Never a disappointment!
Venerable, appointment-only record store buying & selling CDs, vinyl & music-themed memorabilia.

320 E 2nd St Second Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90012, USA
Found a gold mine with this place! Has a bar to enjoy drinks and great selection of Vinyl. One of the rare places too that has a listening station!
They are located on the second floor ! Got to meet XL Middleton and Spence. Enjoyed some great music while shopping for soul/funk/rnb records + tapes and having a drink from Angela the owner of “Hello Stranger” Thank you everyone for the amazing experience!
owner was really nice + pretty cool records :DD
Incredibly well curated!!!! Highly collectible new and old records & every vinyl DJ I know goes here. My favorite shop in LA hands down.
Salt Box Records online store is absolutely fantastic. I truly enjoy browsing their selection and appreciate the quality and service they provide.

1381 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, USA
You dont pick my childs car who was getting a pizza at Domino's and hit her car window to make her show you attention because she is black and then tell her and her friend as they are waiting for their pizza at Domino's. " Parking is for the businesses". Plus you saw her and her friend go in the Smoke Shop plus the Dominoes. Why harass and target them and you didn't do anyone else like that? What did they do to you? The guy in the cap hit her car window , that's equivalent to touching her. Her car is her "property." The nerve of some people!!! You work at "SICK" city records NOT Dominoes. Love Sick City Records! This place reminds me of the record shop I used to buy my first albums. Joy Division, Siouxie e Los Banshees. They have great goth t- shirts, vintage bands , retro bands and current bands.. you can get your haircut... I recommend all punks, goths, death, dark and cold wave fans visit this store. They also have a small selection of vintage clothing... I recommend you visit this store. There's a little something for everyone.
Nice record store. Found a good selection of 80s new wave records. Scored a nice original Lords of the New Church record. Good selection of tshirts. Owner's were very nice. Recommend stopping in. There is limited parking.
An awesome record shop with all sorts of vintage goods, it’s also a great place to get a haircut! Got the best haircut of my life along with a great beard trim. Looking forward to many future visits!
Favourite record store ever… wide range, rare collection. I came in looking for something special for two friends that have extensive collections. They were incredibly helpful and knowledgable. They also support the local indie artist scene. Can’t wait to come back! My new go to!

Crazy space. The Slipper Clutch doesn't have any outdoor signage, the bar exists behind another space that you walk through to get to it. You can sort of see the interior sign from the street if you look. The guy bouncing the place next door seemed really used to answering the question of Where is the slipper clutch! Inside there are like three or four bar areas with totally different vibes. The first area is more high class, fancy night bar. Through the door is another bar that's more punk rock, has arcade games and pool tables. It's kinda small but decent. They have a back patio too. The patio door was open all night so the place smelled of smoke from the outdoor smokers. If you keep going and go upstairs, you'll find the venue area with yet another bar. The music up there stays loud as heck so it kind of always sounds like a band is playing even when it's just the interstitial music. For the show I went to, bands didn't start playing until almost an hour and a half after the listed time, so definitely don't come early if you're just coming to rock. Tickets were cash only at the door, but it was only $7 - prices we ain't seen in decades! The music space itself is pretty decent, the stage is kinda small but it gets the job done. The room is pretty spacious and there was plenty of room for a bunch of people but also room to get away from the wild ones if you needed. There's also a very tiny upstairs patio (more like a ledge) but good to get some air. Pretty decent overall experience. I don't think they had food there but I didn't really look. Didn't see anybody eating anything tho! There are only two tables, outside on the patio. Otherwise it's bar or standing. Definitely not wheelchair accessible.
Lots of character and really nice regulars. All of the art in there is really cool, a few pinball machines and a pool table. Only gripe with this place is the $15+ cocktails that don't have much alcohol in them
I played with my band Skull Riot there. Great venue. Cool vibes. Cool people. Great sound. What else do you want. They even have some pinball machines.
First timer and was blown away. The vibe, the multi genre music, live band and the crowd absolutely amazing. Highly recommend trying to place out!!! Plenty of arcades, pool table, smoking area and outside for fresh air. Felt like 4 bars at once place. Don’t even have to leave the dam thing. Definitely coming back again!!!!
Visited LA and was invited to this bar from some friends I made at the Precinct! Instantly loved the vibes as I walked in. Has a punk-rock vibe with some retro themes throughout and colored lighting. Tried the dirty martini and it was made to perfection for an LA night out drink!

Solid record shop and an institution of Hollywood - established 1989! Enjoyed the selection, the friendly staff, and the overall decor of the place. Can find some rare, used, and obscure vinyls from a range of tastes (RnB, indie, Jazz, just vocals, etc). Definitely a business worth supporting!
Awesome record shop in the heart of Hollywood, open late night which makes for a cool vibe. Great selection of CDs and vinyls too!
Awesome store that’s been around for a while. Staff is super friendly, always jamming out on whatever they want to play for the store. Great browsing for an assortment of selections.
Decent selection, but prices feel seemingly random at times. Place is absolutely filthy and most of the used records are covered in years of dust and debris Edit: After reading the first half of their response, I was going to change the review to a more positive one, as the feedback was good. But with a condescending demeanor, place isnt worth your time
This is my favorite place in LA to buy records. The selection is great, and they often sell large collections by legendary DJs or musicians—they update Instagram with what’s coming next, and it’s always worth checking out. Fantastic place.
Music shop & events space offering a huge collection of vinyl records, vintage audio gear & posters.
